EQ1,2,3 are menu items 125 to 133 and PE1,2,3 are menu items 134 to 142
Microphone is a Yaesu M-70D. Mic/Proc settings: Mic and Proc on 12 or 5o%. You can put Proc up to 100% but Mic only up to 70% while keeping the modulation and signal clear.
This are my front panel and menu settings:
Front panel: METER: PO, MONI: 11 o’clock, NB: 11, SHIFT: 12, WIDTH: 2800Hz
Menu 85: TX-BPF is on 1-29 (100-2900Hz = 2.8kHz TX bandwidth)
Resetting memories (only)
Use this procedure to reset (clear out) the Memory channels previously stored, without affecting any configuration changes you may have made to the Menu settings.
- Press the front panel’s [POWER] switch to turn the transceiver off.
- Press and hold in the [A>M] button; while holding it in, press and hold in the front panel’s [POWER] switch to turn the transceiver on. Once the transceiver comes on, you may release the [A>M] button.
Menu resetting
Use this procedure to restore the Menu settings to their factory defaults, without affecting the memories you have programmed.
- Press the front panel’s [POWER] switch to turn the transceiver off.
- Press and hold in the [MENU] button; while holding it in, press and hold in the front panel’s [POWER] switch to turn the transceiver on. Once the transceiver comes on, you may release the [MENU] button.
Full reset
Use this procedure to restore all Menu and Memory settings to their original factory defaults. All Memories will be cleared out by this procedure.
- Press the front panel’s [POWER] switch to turn the transceiver off.
- Press and hold in the [FAST] and [LOCK] buttons; while holding them in, press and hold in the front panel’s [POWER] switch to turn the transceiver on. Once the transceiver comes on, you may release the other two switches.
Service/alignment mode
Press and hold in the [1(1.8)], [2(3.5)], and [3(7)] keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the alignment mode.
Frequency calibration
Menu item [A15 FrE] is for frequency calibration. Use the [VFO-B] knob to adjust. Long press [MENU] to save.
