Quick fixes for Juniper problems

In Junos, the clear command is a useful tool for resetting, refreshing, or clearing various system states, statistics, and counters. It helps network administrators troubleshoot issues by removing outdated data and ensuring real-time accuracy in monitoring. This command is essential for maintaining optimal network performance, allowing for quick recovery from anomalies and ensuring that devices operate with the most up-to-date information. By using it effectively, administrators can streamline diagnostics, enhance visibility, and improve overall system reliability.

Clear all MAC limiting, MAC move limiting, and storm control errors from all the Ethernet switching interfaces on the switch or from the specified interface, and restore all interfaces or the specified interface to service:

clear ethernet-switching port-error

Clear suppressed duplicate MAC addresses in an EVPN network. You can also use this command to re-enable any blocked duplicate MAC addresses. After you have enabled these duplicate MAC addresses, these MAC addresses will be available for relearning and forwarding:

clear evpn duplicate-mac-suppression

Clear a bridge protocol data unit (BPDU) error condition caused by the detection of a possible bridging loop from Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) operation:

clear error bpdu interface all

Restore a specified logical interface or all logical interfaces to their prior state after the device detects a loop and applies a configured action to break the loop:

clear loop-detect enhanced interface

Set interface statistics to zero. If you issue the clear interfaces statistics interface-name command and then perform a graceful Routing Engine switchover, the interface statistics are not cleared on the new primary node. Reissue the command to clear the interface statistics again:

clear interfaces statistics all

Clear current DDoS protection statistics, violation states, or culprit flows for all packet types in all protocol groups, for all packet types in a particular protocol group, or for a particular packet type in a particular protocol group:

clear ddos-protection protocols states
